The rod is in near mint original condition. The reel seat bears the Payne trademark stamp and a three digit serial number from the Walt Carpenter era. The Model 100 is one of Paynes most popular tapers, with a more medium action as compared to the slightly heavier Model 101 which was a faster action rod. All
