The enamel is reddish orange that lightens to almost clear near the top. The wings have a row of bead set marcasites for added sparkle. At the center is a honey colored faceted paste stone. This brooch dates to the decade after the discovery of King Tut's tomb, when a wave of Egyptomania erupted. It is made of 935 silver and probably of German origin. Scroll
