Orvis Model 99 8'6 6wt Bamboo Rod 6'9" from the mid-1930's through toFor sale here is an impregnated Orvis "99" 8'6" 2 1 6wt bamboo rod. Serial #34280, built in 1963. Rod is in excellent original condition with a few exceptions, the top guide on the butt section has been re wrapped as well as the second guide from the tip top. All sections are full length and straight. Dark tempered cane with Chinese red wraps. The script remains clean and bold. The cigar grip is very finely ridged and has been touched up with filler.
