The Shadows combine well with the sacrifice mechanic, inflicting double damage when you sacrifice a creature and your opponent sacrifices a creature
Mana ramp involves finding ways to get more of your lands onto the battlefield as quickly as possible and/or creating reusable sources of mana through permanents on the battlefield
Players use decks of cards that generate five colors of mana, and play cards that consume mana to call for creatures, cast defensive and offensive spells, and activate effects or unique abilities
To truly shield your permanents, you need to get them off the battlefield temporarily, whether it be via Teferis Protection, Clever Concealment, or a slow blink like Laezels Acrobatics
Overtime, however, its likely this card will drop considerably in value as double rare cards are just not quite rare enough to ensure long term value
That said, when it comes to some particularly iconic episodes and especially villains, we wanted to break that rule to give them the attention they deserve
