Sets like Eldraine or the recent Lord of the Rings do goa against this, giving the game effectively an alternate identity (and makes Magic stronger for it imo!), but generally I feel like Magic operates in an artstation-tier fantasy that is hard to latch onto, and those unique sets are the exception
Terras mechanics reference the World of Ruin section of Final Fantasy 6, as she can Mill cards, and when she damages players, her owner can pay two to summon a 3 cost or less creature from the graveyard, emulating the party reforming in its second act
Its a flashy finisher but this deck doesnt really support it
Lulu, Stern Guardian Lulu, Stern Guardian doesnt look too impressive, but it actually has a rather powerful effect on a game of casual Commander
